Fluid Couplings are mechanical two-piece mechanisms consisting of an impeller and a runner, both within a housing filled with oil. The impeller is connected to the driving shaft; the runner is connected to the driven shaft. In conveyor drives, the fluid coupling usually is placed between the motor and speed reducer.
