Lagging Materials

Conveyor pulleys are often covered with a variety of materials including rubber, fabric, urethane, ceramic, or other material. Lagging is used on driving pulleys to increase the coefficient of friction between the belt and pulley. Lagging is also used to reduce abrasive wear on the pulley face. A list of lagging materials used in bulk materials handling is provided below.
